"Pure Skiing Fun" for beginners and racers alike!

Our programme is based on learning through play, relying on specially trained children's ski instructors and cutting edge learning aides like the Wonder Carpet conveyor lift, ski carousel, etc. in our Children's Ski Arena..

We offer a special "kiddie taxi" for children who receive lunchtime supervision.

The crowning activity for the ski school week is the children's ski race - every Thursday at 10.30 am. Every child receives a medal. The very best receive a trophy cup!

The curriculum for the targeted development of children's ski technique, "From the Basics to the Master Level", guides our instructors through the children's ski course.

Children's courses should not be compared with adult courses!

Beginners...

During a beginners' course, the children's ski instructor has to gain the regard and trust of the smallest skiers before the course can begin. But once the instructor overcomes the first feelings of hesitation, even the youngest skiers can have fun in the snow.

Children have the ability to learn quickly and naturally, with less fear and doubt, absorbing entire movement patterns by imitation.
Using a variety of colourful teaching aides and playful exercises methodically developed for children, young skiers easily overcome the first hurdle - the "snowplough".

In addition, the equipment (length of skis, etc.), the balance between learning and rest, and lots of encouragement and praise to maintain motivation are all important for success. The first days on skis are always somewhat strenuous for children. For help in saving energy and channelling it into educational gains, the course relies on the perfectly suited SunKid Wonder Carpet, conveyor lift, and tow rope lifts.

Safety is our utmost concern when children put on skis, and constant counting and monitoring of the children is a basic part of our ski school protocol.

Advanced skiers...

At the intermediate and advanced levels, the instruction focuses on the real deal!
The programme targets lots of new goals. First, skiing with angled skis gives way to children's carving with the skis parallel, which is easily mastered with the help of exercises tailored for children - and also by the design of modern skis. Carving, deep powder, and moguls are all part of the learning process, made possible by the foundation we have now. At these higher levels, too, children learn best with a fun, varied, and specialized approach to instruction.
Children respond to such a programme with success and shining smiles!

Dear parents!

Children must not be forced into having fun!
Parents and siblings rarely manage to provide a harmonious experience on the slopes.

What are the biggest mistakes parents make?

  • Children just starting out can quickly lose the feeling of fun and achievement by drilling for improvement. This only brings the opposite of what is intended.
  • The ups and downs of skiing education become no different from accomplishments at school.
  • Children are reduced to focusing on good form and ignoring fun and games.
  • The mentality and physical conditions of children require a different educational approach than that suited for adults.
  • It is simply selfish to expect children to reward parents' expenses for costly ski equipment and holidays with great achievements on the slopes.

Please don't project your own ambitions onto your children!

Think about these comments and remember that our instructors are specially trained. This is the best way to preserve the joy of skiing.
